Having received an early glimpse of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 at the North American International Detroit Auto Show, I am delighted to confirm that with the impending mid-2024 release of the sedan, Cadillac continues to redefine American opulence in a more daring and polished improvement of the previous CT5 model. Cadillac established its reputation by building exceptional luxury sedans, so it is inspiring — actually heartening — to witness the iconic brand reaffirm its commitment to enhancing and progressing this jewel of a contemporary sport sedan in a market that seemingly cannot get enough of angular SUVs.
“The significance of CT5 in Cadillac’s lineup cannot be overstated,” remarked John Roth, Global Cadillac’s vice president. “Globally, CT5 is experiencing its best sales year ever. The 2025 CT5 remains faithful to what customers adore about this vehicle, while introducing a revamped look and the latest technology and safety features.”
The 2025 CT5 showcases an updated front fascia and offers more standard comfort, safety, and technology features, while also integrating the brand’s 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display.
The more striking front-end design of the 2025 CT5 complements its swiftback profile. Enhancements include a lower and broader front grille with redesigned Cadillac signature vertical lighting and stacked LED headlamps. The CT5 Sport trim presents a performance black mesh grille and black surrounds. Additional new features consist of: standard Blind Zone Steering Assist, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Attention Assist, Google built-in compatibility, and a variety of new options including 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist, as well as two new exterior colors: Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic.
The CT5’s new 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display boasts a remarkable 9K resolution and curves toward the driver in a single, uninterrupted screen spanning the driver’s viewing area. The system also encompasses a customizable user interface designed to deliver a technology-forward and personalized experience. According to Alex MacDonald, CT5 chief engineer, “The new advanced technologies amplify the driver’s personal connection in a sedan already renowned for its driving spirit, comfort, and technology.”
Be on the lookout for JustLuxe’s road test report for insights on the CT5 driving experience. a comparison between the 2.0L Turbo engine (237 horsepower) and the optional 3.0L Twin-Turbo engine (335 horsepower), an evaluation of the new tech, rear-wheel drive dynamics, and On Star media option, as well as an assessment of whether the ride is successful in providing a quiet cabin experience that still manages to establish a robust connection with the road.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 commences this spring at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly facility in Michigan. Pricing to be unveiled soon.
