This winter, Priory Farm is hosting two enchanting family holiday events at Discovery Land, providing a fantastic opportunity to create treasured memories with family and friends during this festive season.
Situated in South Nutfield, just outside Redhill in Surrey, and a mere 40-minute train ride from central London, Discovery Land serves as a remarkable backdrop for festive enjoyment. This includes immersive theatrical experiences and magical tales at the Father Christmas Experience, as well as a brand-new Winter trail sprinkled with stardust. Discovery Land provides more than just a stroll in nature; it promises an exhilarating outdoor adventure through ancient woodlands, meadows, and alongside lakes, designed to ignite the imaginations of children and adults alike. The area features adventure play zones, treehouses, balance beams, and seasonal displays, ensuring everyone finds something to delight in.
The Winter Trail
This event runs on select dates from Saturday, November 23, 2024, through Sunday, January 5, 2025.
The Winter Trail offers a magical experience with shimmering lights and interactive activities. Families are welcomed to join Conifer the reindeer along with the Discovery Land guardians—Fern, Timber, and Pebble—as they embark on an enchanting outdoor adventure.
Visitors will encounter 12 Secret Star adventure-style doors, each unveiling a distinct experience that embodies the magic of the holiday season. Participants will have the chance to ride a shooting star, catch a fallen star, and completely immerse themselves in festive wonders, surrounded by sensory play areas, climbing features, and interactive puzzles. Numerous key photo opportunities await along the trail, such as the Giant Wreath Rainbow, the Festive Giants Chair, and Father Christmas’ Sleigh.
Tickets range from £8 to £11 per person. Children under 2 enter for free.

The Father Christmas Experience
This holiday season, Priory Farm presents an unforgettable Father Christmas Experience in a newly established theatre space within Discovery Land. This immersive theatrical event combines storytelling, song, and special effects to bring the magic of Christmas alive through a musical journey in a wonder-filled festive land.
Guests will join charming characters such as Tinsel Bottom the fairy, Mary Christmas, and Skyler the snow leopard on a mission to save Christmas. With Father Christmas seeking assistance to restore the sparkle to the Christmas stars, families will play a vital role in ensuring his sleigh is guided correctly on Christmas Eve. Following the performance, families can share a special moment with Father Christmas himself at the Festive Village Green, enjoying the holiday ambiance and toasted marshmallows. Be sure to bundle up warmly, bring along your festive cheer, and prepare for an extraordinary Christmas adventure!
