A vibrant array of holiday sights and sounds captivates visitors at Bellagio Las Vegas, particularly at the newly unveiled Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Designer Ed Libby and the Bellagio’s Horticulture team bring the Conservatory to life with vibrant floral displays and festive decorations on view now through January 4, 2025.
“This year’s theme provided a unique chance to create an experience that evokes the nostalgia of the holidays,” noted Libby. “By merging iconic holiday features with a warm, dream-like ambiance, we’ve designed a display that even the most discerning adults can relish with childlike delight. I believe this is our most traditional, quintessential holiday Conservatory ever—crafted to inspire warmth, joy, and the unmistakable spirit and emotions of the season.”
Visitors are seen taking selfies next to a gently turning vintage-style carousel featuring three horses. Nearby stands an impressive 42-foot holiday tree adorned with festive decorations and topped with a shimmering Swarovski star. The tree is surrounded by 10,000 mini-LED lights and 8,700 ornaments.
Breathtaking crystal chandeliers twinkle softly above, their cascading layers embellished with intricate metalwork, adding a touch of elegance to the garden space.
The display, inspired by the classic holiday poem ‘A Visit from St. Nick’ by Clement Clarke Moore, involved 80 team members at Bellagio in crafting heartwarming scenes that celebrate giving, tradition, and family.
Throughout the Conservatory, 41 fresh-cut Silvertip trees and 20,000 brightly colored Poinsettias bloom. The vibrant red, pink, and yellow flowers symbolize love, hope, and prosperity.
Stylishly draped LED screens showcase enchanting winter landscapes, while a specially curated holiday soundtrack enriches the experience for guests of all ages.
The water utilized in Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is sourced from on-site underground wells, harnessing rainwater and recycled water from the resort, thereby eliminating the use of municipal potable water. Additionally, the water within the Conservatory is continually recycled throughout the exhibit and repurposed for use at the resort. This practice aligns with MGM Resorts International’s broader commitment to sustainability.
Positioned at the center of the room is an eye-catching, gilded red sleigh soaring 21 feet high, filled with stylishly wrapped gifts. It is pulled by two festively adorned and elegantly outfitted reindeer, poised for their gift-giving journey.
A standout feature in this enchanting garden is Drum Major Dolly, a 27-foot tall Bellagio Bear. Clad in a ceremonial red uniform with gold tassels, Dolly joyfully resonates to the tunes of the season.
The grand 18-foot gingerbread house captivates with its ruby-red hearts and snow-like icing, exuding the delightful scents of gingerbread and sweetness. As one strolls by, they can peek through the window to catch a glimpse of the stunning Gingerbread exhibit lit from within.
For guests seeking a memento, a Sugar Plum Fairy-scented candle is available for purchase at the Giardini Garden Store.
To further enhance the festive ambiance, the Peppermint Express pop-up offers a variety of treats, including cookies, peppermint meringue, chocolate candies, holiday nougat, popcorn, and both hot coffee and chocolate beverages. Located adjacent to the holiday-themed Conservatory and grand lobby, the pop-up operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, extending hours to 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. after Thanksgiving.
