Renowned Chef and Gala Host, Nancy Silverton, tantalized the crowd with her delectable Lemon Posset, an English dessert akin to pudding made sans eggs, adorned with slivered strawberries and pomegranate molasses glaze.
Additionally, Iron Chef Stephanie Izard’s Glazed Beef Short Ribs, Pineapple, and Sweet Potato Noodles showcased a masterful display of sumptuous dining.
Our Friday commenced with a showcase called “D2 Retrospective”, highlighting the finest of their Columbia Valley red blends coupled with a curated selection of international cheeses by Kent Tory from The Cheese Shop, esteemed for their impeccable variety and quality.
Friday’s festivities included a “Champagne Social Happy Hour” at the Inn at Spanish Bay, featuring an array of appetizers presented by The h.Wood Group of Restaurants and paired with various Champagnes. Noteworthy was chef Geo Ketchedjian’s Steak Tartare, Oysters Rockefeller, and Truffled Grilled Cheese, executed with classic perfection.
The evening on Friday culminated at The Beach and Tennis Club with a “California Coastal Pacific Feast,” hosted by Jeremiah Towers, against the backdrop of the stunning coastline sunset.
Chefs showcased an array of savory bites highlighting the state’s bounty. Opulent nibbles included Michael Chang’s Smoked Monterey Bay Black Cod & Seaweed Salad.
Also featured was Michael Rotondo’s Grilled Pacific Oysters.
Saturday morning hosted an extraordinary “Effervescent Indulgence” with a Champagne and Caviar Pairing Seminar, indulging in vintage Brut and Rose champagnes from Charles Heidsieck, Piper-Heidsieck, and Rare Champagne, each paired with premium caviar from Antonius Caviar.
The signature “Grand Tasting” events on Saturday and Sunday afternoons were an ideal way to satisfy your culinary curiosity about the diverse offerings at the Pebble Beach Gastronomy and Wine Festival.
Danny Grant’s Wagyu Beef Carpaccio garnered commendations from the crowd.
During the same event, Marc Murphy delighted his followers from the food network with his signature spice blend Surf n’ Turf Roasted Salmon.
Saturday’s Happy Hour transported guests to the oceanfront fire pits of The Inn at Spanish Bay for “Burgers, Bourbon, and Bordeaux.” Each bite surpassed the previous, with standout burgers including Alvin Cailan’s Kara Kare Chili Burger.
Another highlight was Anna Marie Bayonito’s Wagyu Burger.
Saturday evening concluded with a remarkable tasting event named “From the Cellar: A Michelin-Star Showcase,” featuring an array of delectable creations from Michelin-starred and World’s 50 Best Chefs, paired with large format and vintage bottlings, including magnum pours from Raymond Generations Cabernet Sauvignon Napa California Wine, courtesy of proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset.
Chris Barnum-Dann’s Caviar and Cauliflower dish provided an outstanding gourmet experience at this event.
