The Itama 62RS, showcased for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival, features a captivating fusion of technological advancements and stylish upgrades, offering an immersive nautical experience for aficionados of the brand. This fresh iteration, with its elegant, sporty, and Mediterranean silhouette, showcases a blue hull and a teak-dressed deck, reflecting the essence of the sea and the innovation of style.
The yacht, surpassing 19 meters (62+ft) in length, embodies timeless grace, agility, and power. The updated version strives to inscribe a new chapter in Itama’s history, reigniting the passion for sailing among enthusiasts with a direct connection to the sea.
The Interior&Décor team of the Ferretti Group Engineering Department has instilled the yacht with a blend of the traditional Mediterranean ambiance, defining Itama’s iconic stature, and contemporary interior design fashions.
Outfitting and Onboard Decor: The cockpit layout prioritizes spaciousness and an authentic maritime experience. A large sun pad in grey technical fabric precedes the living and dining area with a customizable C-shaped sofa around a fixed steel and wood table. The helm station, shielded by a sweeping wraparound windshield, features a new dashboard design with digital instrumentation. The deck, entirely open like all Itama models, now incorporates flush skylights for an uninterrupted view of the horizon. A central passageway in the windshield with a pantograph opening mechanism heightens the onboard experience.
Propulsion and Performance: The Itama 62RS is equipped with two MAN V12 engines, each with a capacity of 1,400 hp, delivering a cruising speed of 37 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. Notably, there is an option to install a Seakeeper NG9 for augmented stability at anchor and during cruising, enhancing onboard comfort. The flaps on the prior version have been substituted with Humphree interceptors for enhanced trim at sea.
Below deck, numerous customization possibilities maintain the optimum arrangement of interior settings. The day zone comprises a comfortable living area with light hues and walnut wood, a dinette with a convertible table, and a revamped galley with enhanced comfort and additional light. The night area in the bow encompasses the owner’s suite and two guest cabins, each with private bathrooms.
In essence, the Itama 62RS amalgamates new functional and design elements with technological innovations, upholding its distinct Itama DNA. The yacht emanates an unmistakable Mediterranean essence and streamlined, sporty contours, rightfully earning the accolade of being “conceived by the sea.”
