Lillet, the French apéritif wine crafted in Podensac, a tiny village located south of Bordeaux, has joined forces with the popular Netflix series Emily In Paris to introduce two exclusive bottles, just in time for the fourth season! Renowned for its premium and refined apéritifs that harmonize the sweetness of wine with the bitterness of citrus and quinine, Lillet boasts a rich and illustrious heritage dating back to 1872. The label is famed for its versatility in cocktails, being a preferred component in numerous traditional and contemporary recipes.
These distinctive Lillet bottles pay homage to Emily’s unapologetic adoration for both France and fashion, showcasing labels adorned with illustrations inspired by haute couture that portray the distinct Lillet lady in exceptionally chic Parisian ensembles. Additionally, the iconic Emily In Paris logo is prominently showcased. The illustrations imaginatively draw from Emily’s wardrobe, presenting a daytime ensemble for Lillet Blanc and a gracefully sophisticated “Emily by night” appearance for the Lillet Rosé variation.
The pale golden Lillet Blanc is delicate and mildly sweet, featuring hints of honey, candied orange, and fresh mint. It also carries a touch of herbs and spices. It is commonly enjoyed chilled, over ice with a garnish of orange or lemon, or included in cocktails like the Vesper Martini. The light pink Lillet Rosé is fruity and floral, with nuances of ripe berries, orange blossom, and grapefruit. It is typically savored solo with a slice of grapefruit or as an ingredient in various cocktails.
The limited-edition Lillet Emily In Paris bottles will hit shelves in the US starting August 1 (SRP: $23.99) and will also debut in international markets including Germany, Austria, Denmark, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, China, South Korea, and Brazil.
To commemorate this collaboration, Maison Lillet has concocted two refreshing cocktails in tribute to the partnership. A sophisticated rendition of the classic Lillet Spritz, the “Emily Lillet Royale” is the ideal summer concoction to relish while watching the fourth season with companions.
