When Top of the Hub closed its doors in 2020, the entire city of Boston was eagerly anticipating what would take its place.
A new concept, View Boston, has now emerged and taken over the top three floors of the Prudential Center.
On the 50th, 51st, and 52nd floors, visitors can now enjoy breathtaking views of Boston and beyond. The 59,000-square-foot observatory offers both indoor and outdoor panoramic views, along with two dining destinations and an open-air roof deck.
The observatory also features immersive experiential exhibits that showcase the city’s famous landmarks, providing visitors with an opportunity to learn more about Boston.
Tickets for View Boston can be purchased on the main level of the Prudential Center. Visitors are then guided to an elevator that transports them to the top floor, creating the feeling of ascending through the clouds. From here, Virtual Viewers provide a 360-degree view of the city, encompassing Fenway Park, Logan Airport, Back Bay, South Boston, and more.
If you venture down to the 51st floor Cloud Terrace, you’ll find a full bar serving creative cocktails and light bites. Additionally, there is a Big Picture Selfie experience that allows guests to capture live photos with stunning views. The Cloud Terrace offers both indoor and outdoor seating options.
On the 52nd floor, visitors can visit Boston 365, another area that features a drink bar and a 50-foot wide projection-mapped 3D model of Boston. The Explore Boston exhibit includes 14 LED touch screens and an immersive theater called Open Doors.
“We were fortunate to have collaborated with these extremely talented teams to make the technology in the space come to life,” said Justin Rink, general manager of View Boston. “We strive to provide our guests with more than just a spectacular view but rather an immersive experience to coincide with it.”
The observatory, along with the Stratus cocktail lounge and The Beacon bistro, is open daily. Visitors can purchase tickets and make dining reservations online.
