“Our objective when designing The Beacon Hill Estate was to seamlessly blend modern conveniences with Bahamian allure, much of the inspiration was drawn from the Pink Sands Hotel when I initially visited Harbour Island in the late 1990’s,” said owner/architect Lawrence Dawson.
The separate but interconnected master suite bedroom is expansive and features a grand spa bathroom adorned in floor-to-ceiling marble. The bedroom itself is exceptionally generous and opens out to the private veranda affectionately known as “snor-a-torium”.
A detached guest villa perched high within the gardens boasts a graceful veranda offering panoramic views and a tranquil retreat. Adjacent to the main residence, it offers two spacious suites, planter-style armchairs, and mahogany louvers. Along the southern stretch of the property, the pool building commands stunning views over the bayside and features a large heated and ‘cooled pool’ for sipping a cocktail as the sun sets. Steps from this peaceful spot lead down to the private dock, dock house, the water terrace, and the private beach.
While seclusion is paramount on the estate, Dunmore Town is just a brief four-minute golf cart ride away, bustling with bars, restaurants, and shops. Accessing Beacon Hill is a seamless experience as flights land at Eleuthera North Airport (just one hour from Miami by plane), followed by a 10-minute transfer via water taxi to The Beacon Hill Estate’s private dock.
