Join me on a walking tour in Ghent (Belgium), one of Europe’s most picturesque cities.
When you think of Belgium, two cities probably come to mind – Brussels and Bruges. However, in my humble opinion, Belgium’s most interesting and beautiful city is actually neither one of these two. That distinction belongs to the lively university city of Ghent, which offers a perfect blend of cultural heritage, architectural beauty, and modern urbanity.
Renowned for its open, rebellious, and innovative spirit, Ghent is an exceptionally well-preserved medieval town in Europe and is often referred to as the ‘Manhattan of the Middle Ages’ due to its abundance of gothic towers. With over 1,000 years of history, the city has a vibrant atmosphere of a student city and showcases an extravaganza of artistic masterpieces.
