Taking inspiration from the charming villages of Europe, The Bellagio Resort & Casino, a prestigious AAA Five Diamond establishment, astounds with its captivating allure at every turn. From the azure hues of the Mediterranean lake hosting captivating aquatic performances daily to the serene and peaceful Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.
On the 9th of January, the resort unveiled its latest exhibit, “Year of the Rabbit,” in honor of the Lunar New Year. Visitors can immerse themselves in the Conservatory’s new garden beds symbolizing fresh starts. Each bed is ablaze with vibrant hues that convey messages of harmony, luck, enlightenment, and prosperity.
Working alongside Bellagio’s Horticulture team, designer Ed Libby fashioned an exhibit paying homage to the Black Water Rabbit, representing profound wisdom and a connection to the Earth. “We have crafted a serene and culturally enriching space where we wish for guests to gather and usher in the Year of the Black Water Rabbit, embracing the good fortune it promises,” expressed Libby. The Conservatory stands as a beacon of hope and prosperity for the upcoming year, welcoming visitors worldwide.
As visitors explore, they will encounter a black and white rabbit beneath the glowing jade rabbit moon, adorned by cheerful chirps from live zebra finches, graceful cranes, and pink lunar moths, all surrounding a magnificent cherry blossom tree. Crafted from botanical materials, these elements symbolize resilience, transformation, and triumph.
At the heart of it all sits a traditional tea house, embodying hospitality, discipline, and elegance. The exclusive dining experience, “The Garden Table,” awaits guests in this distinct setting. Bellagio’s skilled culinary team curates a lavish dim sum lunch and a sumptuous dinner feast for groups of up to four. The menu, prepared by the Noodles culinary team from Bellagio’s Pan-Asian restaurant, features an ‘Eight Treasures Dim Sum Platter’ lunch priced at $88 per person, inclusive of a variety of delectable treats like Abalone Shui Mai, Traditional Shrimp Har Gau, Barbeque Pork Buns, and Pan-Fried Pot Stickers, complemented by dessert and select beverages. Reservations are available at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Additionally, a ‘Feast of Prosperity Dinner’ awaits, showcasing special culinary delights including Fortune Chilean Sea Bass, Healthy Poached Empress Chicken, Wealthy Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Joyful Pepper Beef, Longevity Noodles, alongside dessert and select beverages. Reservations can be made seven nights a week at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Don’t miss the enchanting Temple of Six Banyan Trees in the North Garden Bed, featuring five floral topiary children embellished with 45,600 flowers such as carnations and botanical accents. Here, a dynamic water feature symbolizes elements of play, revelry, and enlightenment.
At the garden’s core lies a golden money tree composed of 88 gold I-Ching coins made from metallic materials, serving as a token of fortune and luck for guests. Overhead, pomegranates and Chinese red lanterns with gold motifs guide guests towards peace and prosperity. The fragrant blend of ginger and amber ‘Serenity’ infuses the air, while LED screens reflect cascading gold coins and fireworks.
The ‘Year of the Rabbit’ exhibit will enchant visitors until March 4, 2023, providing a captivating setting for a meal and an opportunity to embrace Asian culture and traditions.
