Culina Ristorante and Café, nestled within the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, has unveiled an invigorating culinary vision that transports diners to the coastal regions of Italy, right in the heart of the 90210 area.
This innovative concept is the result of a collaboration with an ensemble of Italian culinary experts from the Four Seasons’ global network, channeling the spirit of quaint seaside communities along Italy’s Mediterranean and Adriatic shores. This gastronomic marriage showcases California’s bountiful produce complemented by a curated assortment of DOP-certified imports from Italy.
Emanating the essence of the Italian seaside, the reimagined menu spotlights cornerstone offerings such as an array of handcrafted pizzas baked in the outdoor Neapolitan-style patio oven at Culina, paired with an elegant crudo bar array featuring salmon, tuna, Hamachi, seabass, and king crab, topped with an opulent crudo royale accompanied by caviar.
Starters tantalize the palate with items like savory beef arancini, a crisp artichoke accompanied by a lemon and caper aioli, an assorted seafood fritto misto, and a sumptuous Wagyu beef meatball. Patrons may also indulge in Parma ham, cheeses paired with asparagus; a blend of kale, spinach, and arugula salad; heirloom tomatoes united with stracciatella and basil; a velvety squash soup adorned with whipped ricotta; and a luscious salad of lobster, crab, and shrimp.
Delectable home-crafted pastas range from pillowy potato gnocchi mingled with mushrooms and peas, classic spaghetti carbonara, savory rigatoni with eggplant, pasta enriched with fennel sausage, broccolini, and parmesan, a delightful spaghetti with tomato and shrimp, to a creamy saffron risotto.
The main dish offerings boast flavorsome branzino adorned with tomato and olives, a zesty tuna with arugula and orange, succulent New York steak with arugula, a tender breaded veal chop, roasted chicken accompanied by potatoes and a richly braised short ribs with soft polenta.
Highlighting the specialties from the chef, diners can expect risotto enriched with black truffle and a perfectly grilled porterhouse steak. The offering for sides includes gently sautéed spinach, flavorful broccolini, perfectly roasted potatoes and a medley of sweet and sour cipollini onions.
Concluding our meal, a decadent berry tart proved to be an exquisite finale.
