When the decision was made by Kapow Noodle Bar to relocate to a larger spot in the Mizner Park area of Boca Raton, it was with the aim to not only increase their presence but to provide diners with a more remarkable dining experience.
An established favorite since 2011, the expanded location enabled them to double their seating space while also introducing an upgraded menu and a top-notch sake selection. (Kapow also operates a second branch in West Palm Beach).
The 5,175-square-foot venue managed by the Sub-Culture Group now features an omakase bar, a bar that wraps around indoors and outdoors, three karaoke rooms, and a patio covered for dining outside.
From the time you step into the vibrant location, you can tell that something unique awaits you. The chic interior showcases numerous captivating murals by local artists, enhanced by a southeast Asian touch. The menu here offers familiar classics as well as some unconventional discoveries, including an omakase tasting adventure.
Begin your experience with one of their distinctive cocktails like a Mai Tai or a flavorful, potent, or zesty concoction with creative titles like our preferred option – the Spicy Lover made with cilantro, serrano, cucumber, and citrus. The expansive food menu is easily accessible as it is categorized into sections such as snacks and small plates, signature crispy rice, Gyoza tacos, dim sum, steamed buns, noodles and rice, and main flavors.
A trip to Kapow Noodle Bar wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of their renowned noodle creations.
The generous portion of shrimp pad Thai is served with fresh bean sprouts, lime, tamarind, coriander, fried egg, and peanuts mixed with soft Banh Pho noodles.
New to their lunch menu is the addition of beautifully presented, freshly made sushi options, including a delightful ahi tuna roll.
This menu is best suited for sharing. From their Dim Sum assortment, make sure to taste the flavorsome Wagyu beef pot stickers or the crispy and succulent Vietnamese chicken wings, well-seasoned and served with a spicy Gochujang hot sauce for just the right amount of spice and a tempting Tobanjan-lime ponzu for dipping.
Puffy steamed buns like the remarkably tender Char Sui pork belly and the delightfully crispy Karaage Japanese fried chicken come in bamboo baskets and can be ordered individually.
A visit to Kapow Noodle Bar wouldn’t be complete without savoring some of their famous noodle dishes. Their sizeable shrimp pad Thai dish is accompanied by fresh bean sprouts, lime, tamarind, coriander, fried egg, and peanuts mixed with soft Banh Pho noodles.
The flavorful skirt steak Lo Mein is a true standout prepared with wok-fried wheat noodles, baby Bok choy, red pepper, kimchi-hoisin sauce, and fresh scallions.
They also present spicy beef basil, lobster Lo Mein, miso sake salmon, chicken chow fun, and hand-held sandwiches such as an Oishi Wagyu burger.
The BBQ duck and ginger fried rice emerged as the table’s favorite dish, a flavor-rich mix of five vegetables, hoisin glaze, and egg. Other popular dishes include their celebrated Peking duck, tuna poke bowl, and lobster Rangoon.
Stay tuned for their upcoming project, an eatery inspired by New Orleans known as Penelope, set to open in the former Kapow spot.
