The announcement this week pertains to Vista Global Holdings (Vista), the leading private aviation conglomerate globally, revealing its agreement to acquire the private aviation services platform of Jet Edge, one of the rapidly growing North American charter operators.
Jet Edge, established in 2011, operates an integrated charter, management, and brokerage platform, standing as a prominent U.S. provider of large cabin and super-midsize private jet charter and aircraft management services.
As of now, Jet Edge operates over 60,000 flight hours annually, exclusively within the large-cabin and super-midsize sector. By the expected completion of the transaction in Q2 2022, Vista anticipates its fleet availability to expand to about 350 aircraft.
This move underlines Vista’s ongoing investment in the U.S., the largest and most rapidly advancing region, following the recent arrangement with AIR HAMBURG.
Founder and Chairman of Vista, Thomas Flohr, commented, “Vista’s dedication is to deliver the most diverse array of flying solutions in private aviation. Today’s revelation adds immense value for our clientele, granting access to an additional 100 aircraft, expanding our fleet during a time of unparalleled demand for business aviation services.
Our objective is to offer top-notch services, at all times and in all locations, for each customer. By bringing Jet Edge, the fastest-growing large-cabin and super-mid on-demand company in the U.S., into the Group, we bolster our presence in North America, enabling Vista to expedite growth within the dynamic business aviation market. This move also extends our offerings, presenting our Members with the opportunity to travel on the most extensive fleet of Gulfstream aircraft available for charter. I am thrilled to welcome Bill Papariella to Vista’s executive team as the Chief Business Officer.”
Bill Papariella, the CEO of Jet Edge, expressed, “Vista unquestionably operates as the top operational platform in private aviation. Our Members will now gain access to an extensive global fleet, programs, services, and a network capable of flying them to any corner of the world. Our Aircraft Owners will be able to leverage the significant charter demand, global infrastructure, and procurement benefits that Vista generates through its renowned brands VistaJet and XO.”
Both organizations place a strong emphasis on maximum safety and superior customer service, making the acquisition of Jet Edge’s private aviation services platform a significant milestone. This latest development signifies a continuation of a longstanding partnership between the company and XO, VistaJet, and Apollo Jets.
Moreover, this acquisition unites two well-established entities sharing the vision of delivering premier flying solutions and experiences to their Members. This merger represents the most recent advancement in Vista’s overhaul of a highly fragmented business aviation landscape. With the acquisition of Jet Edge’s Part 145 maintenance facility on the West Coast, Vista’s maintenance services portfolio in North America will expand.
The acquisition will also offer a complete suite of maintenance services for a diverse range of aircraft types, bolstering the maintenance capabilities across the U.S. and improving access to parts. Additionally, two branded lounges in Van Nuys, California, and Teterboro, New Jersey, will be set up to welcome all departing passengers from these terminals.
