Tennis fans staying at the beachfront Hacienda del Mar were treated to daily sightings of some of the world’s best tennis players during the Los Cabos Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2023.
Some of the world’s top 30 players, including Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece, played at the Cabo Sports Complex from July 31 to August 5. Russian player Karen Khachanov (No.11), British player Cameron Norrie (No.13), Australian player Alex de Minaur (No.16), and American player Tommie Paul (No.17) joined American John Isner for the seventh edition of the ATP 250 in Los Cabos.
The Mifel Tennis Open was established in 2016, and past tournament winners include Diego Schwartzman, Cameron Norrie, Juan Martin del Potro, and Daniil Medvedev.
The 2023 event welcomed 30,000 fans who enjoyed many recreational activities during the day at the Hacienda Del Mar, a Marriott Los Cabos Autograph Collection Resort.
As a host resort for the tournament, guests enjoyed stunning views of the Sea of Cortez, along with a range of relaxing and refreshing amenities, such as five beautiful swimming pools. The pools include mosaic marine life pools with Venetian tiles, beachside infinity pools, and a swim-up bar grotto pool.
Tennis players and guests also had access to a fully-equipped fitness center featuring personal training facilities and a variety of organized fitness classes, including yoga, stretching, Zumba, power walking, pool activities, and beach volleyball.
In the early evening, The Mifel Tennis Open is known as the best tournament in its category in Latin America. Next year, it will be held in February, during the cooler months, prior to the Telcel Mexican Open presented by HSBC in Acapulco.
The property showcases the charm of Mexican tradition with its 542 hacienda-style rooms and suites, designed with a captivating combination of traditional Mexican Colonial elements and stylish Mediterranean touches.
INFINITY POOLS
One of the most popular attractions during the day is the infinity pool overlooking the private beach. Guests can relax and listen to the sound of the waves crashing while watching sailboats and luxury yachts cruising along the coastline.
There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas provided for guests to bask in the warmth of the sun or seek shade.
CACTUS SPA
Before the first tennis match begins at 6 p.m., visitors can visit the Cactus SPA for a soothing massage or facial. The tranquil space offers a hot sauna, steam room, and a relaxation room with three different temperature pools: a cold plunge pool, a warm spa pool, and a hot tub. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes early to enjoy the facilities before and after a treatment.
