London offers a wide range of holiday activities for kids, making it difficult to choose the best one. As a mother of two young children, I have come across numerous options, from Cypher Coders to ZZ. In search of educational activities to keep my daughter focused during the school holidays, a teacher recommended Yellowbird Education. Founded by husband-and-wife team Riff and Janie, Yellowbird Education started with creative writing courses and now offers various workshops for all ages. Their goal is to make learning enjoyable and inspiring.
After hearing positive feedback from other parents, I enrolled my six-year-old daughter in a week-long creative writing course at Yellowbird Education. The class had ten children about to start year two and one qualified teacher. Each child received a booklet to work on daily activities, and the progress was evident. The classes were well-planned, with a balance of learning and playtime.
Yellowbird Education’s success can be attributed to small group sizes, kind teachers, and valuing each child. The daily assemblies reinforce the topics covered and make learning exciting. A typical day on a creative writing course involves an introduction to the topic, grammar, story writing, playtime, lunch, and assessment. The children receive rewards and certificates for their achievements.
My daughter had a wonderful week at Yellowbird Education and wants to return. With half term approaching, she won’t have to wait long. Yellowbird Education offers a variety of workshops, exam preparation, handwriting practice, and interview practice for students of all ages.
