    List of 14 Exclusive Hotels & Resorts Premiering In 2023

Celebrated hotels and resorts around the world are anticipating a surge in travel numbers next year, rebounding from the impact of the pandemic. As a part of a series introducing new luxury properties, presented below is a carefully curated selection of upcoming launches in the Americas and the Caribbean in 2023.

    Caribbean

    Sandals Dunn’s River– opening set: May 24, 2023

    Sandals Dunn’s River is set to open as a reimagined version of the former Jewel Dunn’s River resort with 260 meticulously designed new rooms. The all-inclusive retreat will introduce Jamaica’s premier SkyPool Suites and the unique Coyaba Sky Rondoval Villas featuring private soaking tubs, an expansive swim-up pool, and an open-air terrace. The resort will boast 12 dining spots, including 10 new additions to the brand, a PADI-certified dive center, and five pools, among them two river pools and Jamaica’s largest pool, representing the flow of a river. Additionally, guests will enjoy complimentary access to the nearby Sandals Ochi, a mere six miles away.

    Six Senses La Sagesse – opening planned: Late 2023

    Situated on 28 acres at the southern tip of Grenada, the Spice Isle of the Caribbean, La Sagesse will mark the debut of Six Senses in the Caribbean. This waterfront resort emulates a picturesque Caribbean village, offering guests an assortment of dining venues and bars, along with a Six Senses Spa accessible via gondola. For those interested in owning a piece of Caribbean paradise, private 3 and four-bedroom Six Senses villa residences are nestled on the hillside.

    Mexico

    Banyan Tree Valle de Guadalupe Resort, Spa and Winery – scheduled for launch: October 2023

    Launching during the 2023 harvest season in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, the Banyan Tree Valle de Guadalupe Resort, Spa, and Winery are located just 90 minutes south of the U.S. border. This ultra-luxurious resort, comprising 31 villas (each with pools), will feature Banyan Tree Group’s inaugural proprietary winery and was designed by acclaimed Mexican architect Michel Rojkind. Starting at $499, the resort offers a range of rooms, with the pinnacle being the single Winemaker’s Villa.

    The St. Regis Kanai Resort – set to open: Q1 2023

    Nestled within a 620-acre nature preserve along Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, The St. Regis Kanai Resort is enveloped by a lush forest of mangroves bordering crystalline waters. Drawing inspiration from the diverse flora and fauna surrounding it, Chapi Chapo Design incorporated local elements and fabrics to bring the resort to life. The property will showcase 124 guestrooms and 20 suites, all offering splendid ocean vistas, a St. Regis Spa, multiple swimming pools, and two 18-hole golf courses crafted by José María Olazábal and Nick Faldo. The resort will house five culinary venues, including a Cacao Bar and a Tequila and Mezcal room.

    Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Cartagena – estimated opening: 2023

    Residing in significant buildings dating back to the 16th century, the new hotel and private residences will accommodate 131 rooms and suites, supplemented by 16 Private Residences. The Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Cartagena will conserve the historic facades within the Getsemaní neighborhood and offer a rooftop pool, several dining options, and the expansive 4,200 sq. ft.     Nobu Hotel Atlantic City – slated to open: Q1 2023

    Taking up residence in the reimagined Caesars Atlantic City, the Nobu Hotel Atlantic City aims to elevate the city’s status as a prime destination on the East Coast. Conceptualized by the Rockwell Group, the contemporary design draws inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, providing guests with panoramic views of the ocean and Jersey Shore coastline in select accommodations, dining venues, and communal spaces.

    The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resorts Collection – anticipated debut: February 2023

    Situated in the Santa Ynez Valley in Los Olivos, The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern revives its historic past as the social hub of the Santa Ynez Valley until the 1930s. Featuring 67 luxury guest rooms and cottages blending modern farmhouse simplicity with the eclectic ranch life nearby and rich local history. Alongside an al fresco dining destination, the Inn will boast an outdoor pool with a welcoming poolside bar, cabanas, and fire pits, a signature spa, and contemporary indoor-outdoor event spaces.

    JW Marriott Dallas Arts District – planned for inauguration: Q2 2023

    Nestled in downtown Dallas, amid the vibrant cultural arts scene, the chic 23-floor hotel stands tall. At the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District, guests are whisked to the Sky Lobby on the 11th floor, welcoming them with a spacious lobby and cocktail lounge. Boasting three restaurants, conference zones, a ballroom, and a fitness center, the highlight of the hotel is the opulent mid-air pool and deck with 40-foot ceilings.

    The Ritz-Carlton, Portland – set to open: Q2 2023

    Marking the brand’s first presence in the Pacific Northwest, The Ritz-Carlton, Portland takes inspiration from the region’s scenic beauty. Incorporating local materials and textures, the contemporary aesthetic is reflected throughout the common areas and the 251 guestrooms. Spanning 15 floors of a 35-story tower in Portland, the property offers sweeping views of the city skyline, multiple dining venues, and a swimming pool overlooking the Cascade Mountain Range.

    The St. Regis Chicago – scheduled launch: Q2 2023

    The St. Regis Chicago finds its home on 11 stories of the 101-story architectural marvel and the third tallest building in Chicago, the St. Regis Tower. Guests can savor the stunning 360-degree vistas of Chicago and Lake Michigan, as the urban haven boasts 191 guest rooms and several fine dining options, including two from Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. Designed by the award-winning architect Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang, this curvaceous glass tower stands as the tallest building in the world designed by a female.

    Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort – expected debut: Summer 2023

    Situated on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort encompasses 81 acres, drawing inspiration from the site’s history, local culture, and natural elements. The property is meticulously crafted to honor the essential features of the original Kona Village Resort, featuring 150 guest hales (traditional Hawaiian structures akin to refined beach bungalows), five restaurants and bars, and a comprehensive Asaya, Rosewood’s integrated wellness concept. Emphasizing sustainability throughout its design and operations, the resort is entirely powered by solar energy and utilizes local materials.

    Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences– slated for launch: Summer 2023

    Embarking as the brand’s inaugural mixed-use inauguration in North America, Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences will set forth 147 guestrooms and 146 branded residences in a striking new 35-story tower. The highlights encompass a three-story sky lobby atop Copley Square, a cutting-edge Raffles Spa featuring a 20-meter indoor pool, and five unique culinary offerings, aiming to highlight the Back Bay neighborhood as a premier international locale.

    The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie – planned debut: Q4 2023

    Nestled in the heart of Scottsdale, The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie is an exclusive sanctuary nestled within 20 acres of lush verdant landscape. Boasting a grand 400-foot swimming pool, a two-story 14,000 sq. ft. spa, on-site citrus groves, and secret gardens, the resort offers a sense of escapism at every corner.
